KGM announced that it sold a total of 10,687 units in December, consisting of 2,540 domestic and 8,147 export units.
Driven by increased export volumes, monthly sales have exceeded 10,000 units for the first time in nine months since March (10,702 units). This marks a significant increase of 20.8% month-on-month and 70.2% year-on-year.
December exports saw substantial growth, with increased sales to Kazakhstan and Spain, surpassing KGM's previous monthly sales record of 8,042 units in October 2013 and achieving a year-on-year increase of 193.9%.
By model, sales were led by Torres with 1,961 units and Korando with 1,717 units, reflecting year-on-year growths of 215.8% and 140.1%, respectively.
On the other hand, domestic sales declined by 27.6% year-on-year due to KGM's prioritization of growing export volumes.
Throughout 2024, KGM sold a total of 109,424 units, comprised of 47,046 domestic and 62,378 export units, through proactive new model launches and enhancements in overseas market strategies.
Despite the 5.7% decrease in domestic sales from 2023 amid economic downturns, exports grew by 18.2%, achieving the highest figures in a decade since 2014 (72,011 units).
Key achievements in 2024 included the launch of the Torres EVX and the KGM brand in Turkiye, Australia, and Paraguay, the establishment of a European sales subsidiary, participation in the European parts conference, and the organization of a major global distributor event after six years. These efforts accelerated the expansion of export volumes through strengthened collaboration with the global sales network.
