KGM has launched the Actyon in Turkiye, marking its first global event of 2025, alongside a test drive event.
The launch event took place on January 29 local time at The Grand Tarabya Hotel in Sariyer, Istanbul, and was attended by 105 participants, including local dealers and journalists.
The Actyon, first introduced in August 2024 under KGM’s new brand strategy of “Practical Creativity”, combines the sleek aesthetics of a coupe with the functional versatility of an SUV, offering a unique value proposition as an urban SUV.
Dealers and journalists attending the event expressed high satisfaction with the Actyon’s exceptional driving performance, stability, and stylish design. They particularly praised its dynamic and elegant roofline, which enhances its urban SUV appeal, as well as its space efficiency and overall product competitiveness.
Turkiye is a market with a growing preference for SUVs, and demand for eco-friendly electric vehicles is also rising rapidly. Additionally, Korean products are well-regarded in the region, making Turkiye a promising market for further sales growth.
In 2024, KGM sold a total of 11,870 units in Turkiye, making a dramatic increase of over five times compared to 2023 (2,217 units). As a result, KGM was recognized as the “Fastest Growing Light Commercial Vehicle Brand and Car Brand.” The company plans to continue this upward trend by expanding sales, starting with the Actyon launch.
A KGM representative stated, “Exports have been on an upward trajectory, with December 2024 recording KGM’s highest-ever monthly sales and the company achieving its best annual export performance in a decade. This year, we aim to further strengthen our presence in the rapidly growing Turkish market by launching new models such as the Musso EV and Torres Hybrid, improving existing models, exploring new markets, and enhancing collaboration with our global sales network to increase overall sales volume.”
